Does the world need another lifestyle and food blog...probably not. Nevertheless, I've explored the idea for the past year and it's finally time to toss aside the dock lines and set sail with this Steamboat Springs food blog.
For many of you reading this first official post, you're probably wondering why someone with a full-time job and family would take on yet another project. My answer is simple, I want to build a community of people to join me in celebrating all that is special about living in Colorado, one healthy bite at a time. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and cookbook editor I have a lot to share, but I also want to learn from you.
Join me while I explore the easiest and best ways to nourish ourselves and our families. If you are looking for evidence-based nutrition information, then you're in luck...so am I. But I should warn you that my enjoyment of food comes from more than its nutritional make-up. Every recipe has a story and memory to share, so let's taste it together.
These recipes are a work-in-progress so I am hopeful that you will share your suggestions for making them easier or more flavorful. At the end of the day I want this blog to be a place where you know the recipes have been tested and the information is reliable. Let's set sail!
