Looking for a quick vegetable that your family will love? These Garlic Sugar Snap Peas were inspired by a favorite dish from P.F. Chang's. Best of all, the preparation of this recipe can be done in one pan.
1 ½cupssugar snap peas
Place the peas and water in a 12-inch frying pan with a tight-fitting lid. Heat until the water starts to boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Allow the peas to steam until the water has evaporated (about 5 minutes.)
Remove the cover and add oil, butter and garlic. Stir-fry the peas until they are tender, yet slightly crisp.
If you want to add some zing to this recipe, include ¼ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes as you stir-fry the pea pods.
